New Addition

The Laing’s masterplan was derailed back in August with Keedoe’s passing but I’m happy to say that it’s back on track, only slightly more cautious. We were asked to help a 27 month old rottie named Skew-nerr, who although very much loved and cared for by owner; due to personal issues he couldn’t keep him. He knew we lost Keedoe and asked us to consider taking him. We went back & forth, up & down, all around until we finally went to see him and if we really wanted to lose more heartstrings in the future. We went to see, well game over; heartstrings be damn. He needed, we needed and the rest will be history. Loni & I have a beautiful, well mannered, non aggressive, playful now 32 month old rottie who doesn’t know he’s a rottie. Plays like kitten would and after 5 months it’s as if he was a part of the family for years.

As I’ve said before I strongly believe in Nuvet products and I am now ordering their supplements for Skew-nerr. It is the least I can do for him bringing so much happiness and joy to our family. New masterplan. Never be without a black & tan in need of a home and make sure he gets Nuvet and love.

Keedoe

Flashback May 1994. The Laing’s are bringing home their first rottie. Kandu (Damage) is his name. De-O-Ge (pronounced by spelling DOG) is our second. A masterplan was devised. We were on our way to 6 male rotties. While acquiring our third, Keedoe; Kandu was diagnosed very young with terminal cancer. He never showed us any outward signs of suffering but we knew he was. Heart strings ripped, torn asunder and after 10 days of agony and suffering on our part we put him “at peace”. Can the heart strings withstand 5 more rottie passings. Master plan revised. Halts at 3 rotties with a condition that our remaining rotties will not suffer as Kandu did. Any signs of suffering and they are to be “put at peace.” Happily De-O-Ge dies of old age at 12 1/2 without any suffering.

Flash forward Christmas 2009. Keedoe is 8 1/2 and is failing. He is suffering, very stiff, in pain and is cranky. He can’t get up unless he’s on carpet and if we are lucky he gets out once a day. It takes us all night to prompt him upstairs. Keedoe won’t stay downstairs by himself and makes atempts at getting up the stairs. What to do? We remember that damn masterplan revision. You know the one with no suffering…. It’s quiet in the Laing household as we ponder. Merry Xmas.

Enter Wendy. She’s a designer (how we met) turned full time dog trainer/groomer. Talk came around to dogs and then Keedoe and his fate. Wendy suggested NuVet Labs and their products. So what choice did we have, NuVet or revised masterplan. We opted for NuVet. Ordered NuJoint Plus and NuVet Plus for Keedoe. What did we have to lose…… heart strings?

Within a month we saw a positive change in Keedoe. He was making a little headway. Getting up and down better and not as cranky. After six months Keedoe was getting us up early to go outside. He was up and down the stairs all day. Went for walks, played with his toys. Chased balls and barked at passing cars. His demeaner changed for the better. We had our puppy back and the masterplan revision was on hold indefinitely. Our household was back on track and moving forward once again. If you don’t think that having a decision like putting your pet down affects your daily routine you are sadly blinded or shouldn’t have a pet. Keedoe was back and we were looking to alot more quality time with him. But fate has dealt us an unfair heart wrenching blow which we are dealing with the best way we can. Aug 24th 2010 Keedoe turned his stomach and unexpectedly passed away. We were helpless and at fate’s mercy. Masterplan unhappily fulfilled, the Laings have no more rotties. Our Keedoe is gone. We are devastated………..

Thank you Wendy and NuVet Labs. You gave us an extra 8-9 months with Keedoe. We honestly believe that your product extended his days with us and had he not passed I STRONGLY believe your product would have extended his “puppyness” and quality of life for years to of come. There is no doubt in our minds that NuVet Plus and NuJoint Plus work, PERIOD. We recommend your products to everyone we will tell and have told Keedoe’s story to. Anyone out there who is in a similar position as we were Xmas 2009 please try NuVet before you make that final decision. You can’t get back your pet if you put it “to peace” but you might just buy him an extra 8-9 months or more. IF and that’s a big IF we find ourselves with another rottie we WILL be using NuVet products from the get go.

Goodbye Keedoe,our loving companion. You will be greatly missed for a long time to come.
