C’mon in, the water’s lovely!

One of the most attractive things about the grooming salon at Dogs of Pride is that all guests are bathed in chemical free water! No chlorine, no salt. A hydrogen peroxide water conditioning system which is natural, biodegradable, “green” and safe was the environmentally friendly route taken.

Dogs of Pride’s in-home grooming spa is a relaxing, comfortable environment and doesn’t seem as daunting as a facility full of noisy animals, strange people, loud noises and many unfamiliar smells.

You may drop your pet off for a half day while you go to the city or you are welcome to stay and enjoy a coffee while your best friend is pampered, preened and positively luxuriated! If your dog doesn’t mind you may also watch the complete grooming process – although sometimes they’d rather you left as they get a better reaction when you come back and see their new ‘do’!

Wendie, your groomer, personally grooms all the dogs from start to finish. Certified in The U.K by a certified master groomer, she then apprenticed under the world famous Jackie Boulton in Calgary for nine months before going solo and then moving to Nova Scotia. An advocate for professional standardisation in the industry, Wendie is continuing her education and working towards her prestigious ‘Master Groomer’ certification through the International Professional Groomers Inc. (www.ipgcmg.org).

**UPDATE** I am pleased to announce that I successfully completed my Masters and am now an Internationally Certified Master Groomer! The first to have achieved such a prestigious title under the IPG east of Quebec. I have been working hard to obtain this and I will now be offering courses as the ONLY certified course in the Maritimes being taught by a Certified Master Groomer. Courses will be starting in Spring 2012
